Anime Weekly Review: Fall 2015 (13.11.-19.11.)

Erza cuts down the slow-paced One Piece...

Again the week goes to FT because OP spend almost its entirety on watching Pica stomp through the already ruined city. Considering the parallel, I'd really like to see a fight between Erza and Zorro...

Asterisk keeps steady and Precure keeps the strength of the last two episodes. I am also not doing a Mid-Season Preview. There is nothing outstanding among the season exclusive titles. I'd just end up cursing over Testament's censoring and wondering why am I even bothering with any of these anime. If I had to say, I'd actually put Asterisk on top which has to say a lot considering its assorted category. Four new anime hardly require an extensive analysis, at least not one in the middle of the season.

Shinmai Maou no Testament Burst: Huh, Basara and his dad actually meet again and do some proper father and son bonding. Meaning Basara gets beaten half to death in "training". Now, I wonder are we really going to see proper "matches"? As in actual battles? I doubt it somehow...

Fairy Tail: Erza is still one if not THE toughest girl in shounen anime. No question about that. Yet, it still wasn't enough. What will happen now?

Asterisk Wars: On its way to actually matching World Break for best anime in this category this year (I don't really count DanMachi in here). Not that the stakes are that high but still. Kirin was well done, especially since against the norm she stood up to her uncle herself, not needing Ayato to step in until it got ugly.

Valkyrie Drive: I really am starting to like Meifong. This was rather fun and mostly tame. Did they run out of extreme fetishes already?

One Piece: *curses* Right, of course it would end RIGHT THERE! After waiting so long for Zorro to finally show something most of the episode was spent watching Pika walk?!? This ugly pacing is why Fairy Tail still barely wins out in direct comparison between the current arcs.

Go Princess Precure: Whoa, a sub released on Monday... how long has it been that happened? Anyway, looks like the series is actually getting some drive back. It was a very nice episode with some well-done moments. I liked the flashbacks as we hardly EVER get something to see about a Precure originating from outside of Earth. Now, if only more of the series could have been like these last 2-3 episodes.

Hidan no Aria AA: Shino has a stalker rival now and Akari is still woefully clueless about it... Gosh, really, it was sort of interesting at the start but the substance is getting less and less in this anime. I have no idea if I would enjoy this more or less knowing the main series.
