Anime Mid-Season Impressions: Spring 2015

Spring has a good deal to offer. And while it has no clear top candidate that really stands out, each week is generally enjoyable all across the board.

Anime Mid-Season Impressions: Winter 2015

Another year, another season with a fresh batch of anime. After the awesome fall season of 2014, it is certainly hard to keep the standard and I'll be frank, so far it doesn't. Not even close. Here are my picks of this season and a few short thoughts of what I think of them.

Anime Report 2014

And here they are, my anime of 2014. Everything I watched from the uber-greatness of No Game No Life up to the incredible letdown of Sailor Moon Crystal and what I think about each.

Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I am flashed!!!!!

Great stuff. Very close to the manga in the few scenes that count for the opening ep, which makes me very happy. I like the music after all.

[Spoiler: Sorry, kann das gerade nicht besser machen, anscheinend gibt es keinen Spoiler-Tag, muss mal suchen.]

The dream sequence at the beginning was new and a nice touch.

Luna: Kick her butt!
Usagi: How do I kick her butt?

ROFL!!!

I'll be doing Episode recaps from now. German readers should know I've been keeping you up on news and stuff so far on NSW, unfortunately I really didn't have the time to re-translate every single one. But I'll try with the recaps since I'll probably keep them fairly short.

MysticMew's Personal Anime Report 2013

So, the year is at an end. Finally some would say. Let me recap what the year brought for me in the realms of my anime experience in somewhat chronological order and some brief commentary. I admit to not have seen many new series that actually aired this year but a lot of it just didn't interest me enough and those that did often disappointed me to no end. Without further preamble (since I'm typing this up rather hastily ^_^), here is my list.

Update status and a recommendation

Check out the latest review from Codeblue455:

"This is one of the most incredible stories i have read in recent time. I am seriously into it and I have read all 34 chapters (so far) all in one long and very pleasant day. Keep up the good work and i look forward to the rest of this amazing story."

Seriously? In one day?!? I don't even think that's humanly possible! How fast do you read? I'm totally amazed.

On the update front. I have finally settled for a rudimentary scene lineup for episode 1 which I am more or less satisfied with it. Perhaps I start writing again tonight. Certainly Maia would appreciate after all the coding and reformatting...

*Maia sits huddled in a corner, whimpering*

Right. Can't promise anything. What I can promise is that from now on the episodes will not only be betaed, they'll be quality-checked. I got two people to check each release, one for spelling and grammar and both for the plot. First time I ever had two people doing this for one of my stories at once.

Lastly, a recommendation for everyone who hasn't seen this yet. Go take a look at Shuffle! I got the recommendation from a review on NSW and am pleasantly surprised. For a harem-type anime this is fairly good. The characters are all very interesting, the humor is there but not overdone and for once the love rivals are not actively out to kill each other, plus the main guy is actually fairly normal (not an overdrawn outcast/clumsy idiot or something). I'm only eight episodes in, but I'll definitely watch this to the end.
